How to use Gmail for a Domain
(Hosted at Web Hostech or Any other Server)
Now you can read & Reply to mail which comes into addresses on your Domain name Through Gmail Interface.
In this Blog, We will guide you about how to use Gmail as your Email Program for Web Hostech-hosted domain or wherever your Email Accounts are hosted.
Here are some important steps which are too easy to complete it.
Configure Gmail for a Domain
Use a regular Gmail account (as an example) and follow these instructions.
(Note: Some labeling can be different, but the workflow is same.)
Step 1:
Log in to your Gmail account and click on the Setting’s icon.
Step 2:
Click on “See all Settings”
Step 3:
Choose “Accounts and Import” Option
Step 4:
Select “Add a mail account” link
Step 5:
Add your Email Address and click the Next>> button
Step 6:
Select Import emails from my other account (pop3) and click the Next>> button
Step 7:
Fill your information:
Add your User Name
Set your Password
Add your POP Server
Select 995 from Port
Check the box Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail
and click the Add Account>> button
Step 8:
Select Yes I want to be able to send mail as your-email-id@my.webhostech.com and click on Next>> button
Step 9:
Enter the Name You want to show as a sender
Check the box Treat as an alias
and click on Next Step>> button
Step 10:
Add your outgoing SMTP Email Server Information and Check the box Secured connection using SSL (recommended)
then click on Add Account>> button
Step 11:
Enter the Confirmation code and click on Verify>> button
Now you can see the Email address you added in the Accounts and Import from Settings
Now you are ready to go.
You can add up to 5 Email Accounts using this method.
